New Fitness and High Performance Centre Opens

The Cashmere High School Foundation is very proud to have supported Te Whare Rēhia, the school’s new fitness and high performance centre, which was officially opened on Monday 25th July. This is an exceptional addition to the school’s facilities and one that supports their wider aspiration of providing the best opportunities and experiences for their students.

Matua Henare led the blessing before Te Whare Rēhia was officially opened by former staff member, Paul McFadzien. Paul, who retired in 2019, made a significant contribution to sport at Cashmere High School, particularly squash, and was awarded the NZSSSC Service to School Sport in 2018.

Te Whare Rēhia will be used for some of the Physical Education and Health classes as well as by sports teams and individuals, and will also be available for staff use.
