2025 May
On Friday 4th April, we welcomed back the Class of 2015 for their 10-Year Reunion – and it was such a fantastic evening!
Around 40 former students returned to Cashmere High School, enjoying the sunshine and sharing countless “remember when…” moments. The air was filled with laughter as everyone reminisced about the good old days and marveled at how much (and little!) has changed.
It was a night filled with fun, familiar faces, and endless reminiscing, and our alumni took in a nostalgic tour around the campus, soaking in the familiar sights and new additions. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it unforgettable!
A special shout out to Elise & Thomas, our 2015 Head/Deputy Students, for sharing their reflections. Thomas’s wise words really resonated: “I would not want to be judged on who I was 10 years ago, and nor would I judge you today on who you were 10 years ago. So don’t be judgmental, ten years is a long time…”
Elise also shared a nostalgic thought: “It’s funny how back then, we were so desperate to leave school and become adults, get into the ‘real’ world. And now, I bet half of us would trade our salary for just one more go at a carefree lunch time, a 3:30pm finish, and a PE class where ‘forgetting your gear’ was a legitimate excuse not to exercise.” A true reminder that while we often rush to grow up and face the “real” world, the simplicity and joy of our school years hold a special place in our hearts.
Thank you to the staff who joined us on the night – many of whom were teaching back in 2015.
To those who couldn’t make it – we hope to see you at the next one!
