On Monday 17th October, school staff, a group of Foundation Pupils, and representatives from the Board of Trustees and the Foundation Trust gathered early at school for the official opening of the Alumni Archives Corridor that showcases the school’s whakapapa through an historical timeline. The display includes many historical photos that were rescued and revitalised after being lost during the earthquakes.
At the entrance of the corridor is a beautiful carving, carved by Matua Tairoa Flanagan, who was present at the opening to bless the corridor.
The Foundation Trust is pleased to have been able to finance this important project.
During the last week of Term 3, 2022, Cashmere High School staged its biennial production. This year it was the rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
Audiences at all four sold-out shows were treated to a stunning performance that showcased the school’s talented actors, singers, dancers and musicians.
Well done to all the cast and crew for delivering a show that set a new benchmark for high school productions.
